Astronaut Robert Cabana

Robert David Cabana is a former NASA astronaut who has logged a total of 37 days, 22 hours, 42 minutes, and 46 seconds in space over the course of four missions. He was born on January 23, 1949, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.

Education and Military Career

In 1967, Cabana graduated from Washburn High School in Minneapolis. He then attended the United States Naval Academy and earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics in 1971. After completing his academy training, Cabana underwent flight training at Pensacola Naval Air Station in Florida. He subsequently served at Cherry Point Naval Air Station in North Carolina and Iwakuni in Japan. In 1975, he returned to Pensacola for further training and became a qualified naval aviator in September 1976. He was assigned to Cherry Official nasa biography.
